OnDeck Circle was founded in 2016 by Melanie Nichols, a performance-driven digital marketing consultant.

Melanie has 15+ years of growth marketing experience in entertainment, startups, mobile apps and paid subscriptions. After 10 years in start-up and corporate marketing teams it was time to branch out and refine expertise in growth marketing across multiple channels and projects. Melanie excels in driving organic traffic and constructing high-impact ad campaigns across platforms like Facebook and Google. Her experience varies across startups but also  large tech companies such as Yahoo!, Comcast, Hulu and Symantec before focusing on consulting for small to medium-sized businesses and startups. Melanie’s notable clients include Silicon Valley Bank, The Crypto Company, LA Times, EA Mobile, Grindr and Motor Trend among others.

Fern Decena

Fern Decena has garnered her extensive expertise in mobile marketing through her roles at prominent companies. As the Senior Marketing Manager at Two Hands Four Paws, Fern successfully managed agency relationships, social media, press and community relations, and various marketing and communications initiatives. She also played a key role in creating and executing impactful marketing campaigns for the company’s veterinary specialty practice in animal rehabilitation and its charitable foundation. Additionally, Fern worked as a Social Media and Influencer Marketing Consultant at FRD, where she collaborated with agencies, entertainment companies, tech startups, fashion/retail brands, healthcare organizations, and non-profits to achieve marketing goals through social media strategies, influencer marketing, and paid media. Throughout her career, Fern has contributed her expertise to renowned companies such as theAudience, Katalyst, Gaiaonline.com, and Yahoo! Inc., where she played integral roles in driving successful marketing and content integration programs.

With over a decade of hands-on experience in multidisciplinary design settings, Jenny has been instrumental in shaping innovative concepts for products, packaging designs, merchandising, and marketing materials. Specializing in ad design, Jenny has crafted compelling banners and mobile ads that resonate with audiences, ensuring that every visual tells a captivating story. Her expertise extends to designing intuitive, high converting landing pages that address customer problems and present visually engaging solutions. As an in-house creative expert, Jenny consistently brings fresh and inspiring ideas to the table, making every campaign memorable. With a natural inclination towards project management and a passion for meeting tight deadlines, Jenny excels in fast-paced and challenging environments.
